Nathan took the second section of his comprehensive exams today. The first portion, the written part, was taken on Friday, April 20. The second half, the oral part, was completed this morning by 11 a.m. He did not find out his total grade until after his oral comps (standard procedure, but still feels mean as we waited 10 days to learn how he did on the first section!). All that aside, Nathan made a High Pass on his Ph.D. comprehensive exams. YIPPEE!!! This clears him to begin working on his dissertation, starting with his prospectus. Once his prospectus is turned in, Nathan will officially be A.B.D.--All But Dissertation. The light at the end of the tunnel grows brighter and brighter. Thank you for all of your prayers and support during this time.
In other news, though the wildfire in Waycross continues to burn, the latest report shows that it is 70% contained. It briefly came closer to Nathan's family, but they have not had to evacuate. Thank you for your prayers, and please continue to pray for that community, and that God would be glorified even in wildfires.

Don't worry, the light is shining bright at the end of the dissertation tunnel, and Nathan will NOT stay ABD forever! I will do my best to make sure of that:-)
