Georgia at Seven Months
Georgia is now seven months old, and is so cute that, to quote a friend, I could "just eat her!" Georgia continues to grow and develop new personality traits and abilities every day. She is not crawling or scooting yet, but she has perfected sitting up, and loves to be able to pat the ground around where she is sitting. The ladies in the church nursery joke about her having to have 'personal space' around her! Her newest trait, though, is what I call "the be-bop in her soul"--she loves to bounce and bop and wiggle, sometimes to music that is playing, and sometimes to a beat that is in her head. She gets the perpetual motion from her dad! She loves her big girl food, and has experienced rice cereal, sweet potatoes and bananas. We start green beans this week, but she is not a fan. We will keep trying!
Last Friday night, Georgia had 'daddy time' with Nathan while I spent time with friends at a Scrap Mania event at a local scrapbooking store. They had a great time together that evening, and it was the first time that Nathan put Georgia down to bed by himself. She wasn't too thrilled about it, apparently, but after some crying she fell asleep.
On Saturday, I introduced Georgia to puppies! Our friends JR and Lindsey Isham have chocolate labrador puppies that are 7 weeks old, and Karen and I took Josh and Georgia over to meet them. Josh really enjoyed the puppies, but one of them was a little too rambuctious with Georgia, licking her on her face and being playful. Georgia did not like the puppies as much as Karen, Josh and I did! They are too cute, and we appreciate Lindsey allowing us to play with them. If anyone is interested, they still have three puppies left for sale.
By the way, as evidenced by the pictures above, isn't it obvious that I have embraced the 'casual stay-at-home mom look'?

you are allowed to dress casual when you play on the ground with puppies! She's adorable!
