Floor time and pool time

Though Georgia is not crawling yet, she has recently been working on 'expanding her borders'--i.e., trying to grab things beyond her reach. This means many times she goes from sitting to being on her tummy, but she has not figured out how to move beyond that. In the two pictures below, she's enjoying 'tummy time' with her baby piano.

Yesterday, we thought she was going to figure it out--she managed to get one leg extended behind her (check out that split!), but after perching like that for awhile, she gave up on the other leg and fell over.

It has been really hot up here, so we broke out the kiddie pool today for Georgia and Joshua. Silly moms, though, we put the pool in the shade to protect the kids from the sun, and the water was COLD! Josh did not like it at all, but Georgia had fun (until she tried to get something out of her reach and got the front of her bathing suit wet). As you can tell, there is all of about an inch of water in the pool, but it's a start! I'm just getting Georgia prepped for her trip to Grandma's pool!

I could definately bite those cheeks...but that's not the first time you've heard that from me...;o) Thanks for our reference letter, I never got a chance to tell you it was so sweet and you did it so quick! We're still waiting on the other two. Love you guys!
