I just have to brag on my little girl for a minute! Yesterday was a really busy day for us, and yet, through it all, she was happy and playful, even without getting in all of her naps. I am so grateful to the Lord for providing us with a good-natured baby (though she isn't always good-natured; perfection has never been achieved by anyone except Christ!).
Here is a breakdown of our day:
Morning: normal, with nursing and breakfast and a morning nap
11:30--trip to Target for groceries
12:30--back home for lunch (I quickly inhaled some pasta while Georgia ate something, I can't remember what. She liked my pasta as well :-)
1:15--delivered meal to friend #1 who just had a baby last week. Stayed and visited with her, and admired the beautiful little girl who is teeny tiny. Georgia wasn't too interested in the baby; instead she wanted to terrorize a new apartment.
1:50--delivered meal to friend #2 who just had a baby last week. Stayed and visited with her, more apartment terrorizing.
2:15--visited Daddy(Nathan) in his office, terrorized office briefly
2:30--headed home to nurse Georgia, who was more interested in playing
3:00--went with pregnant friend to baby store to register for new baby. Loads of fun, I managed to escape with only buying bottled water and snack crackers for G. Oh, did I mention that Georgia DIDN'T nap in the car on the way to baby store or on the way back?
5:40--made it back home through traffic long enough to change G's diaper and leave again--still no afternoon nap!
6:00--dinner at friend's house, Georgia terrorizes their little boy, but he likes it.
8:30--home from friend's house, G has not napped all day, yet she is sweet, playful and happy the entire time. No fussing at all except right before we put her into bed, and I think that might have been because we were taking too long!
All in all, a very busy day, but the Lord was gracious and Georgia was well-behaved. God deserves the praise and glory for that!
