"A Typical Conversation at the Finn House"
The Scene: Leah was watching The Today Show this morning while Nathan was puttering around in the next room. Georgia was playing on the floor and jabbering in her indecipherable language.
Leah: “I had to turn the channel for a minute because I didn’t want to watch the story about the mother who left her toddler in the car for eight hours.”
Nathan: “I don’t blame you.”
Leah: “Besides, it doesn’t help that Pavarotti died today and they were just playing all this beautiful music that already had me misty-eyed.”
Nathan: “They played Lynard Skynard during the Pavarotti segment?”
Leah: (insert blank stare here)
Georgia: “Ooooh, ba, la, la, la, dat! Uht-oh”
An aside from Leah: I may be the only one, but every time I hear Pavarotti sing "Nessun Dorma", I get teary eyed. See video below (if Pavarotti doesn't give you chill bumps, perhaps the opening ceremony of the Olympics, where he was singing, will!)
**Updated** Nathan would like to add that if Pavarotti doesn't make you cry, you should check out this link.
