I intended for this to be a much longer post with more details, but this past week has been so crazy that that is not possible. Instead, as I share how we have rejoiced this past week, I will opt for some basic bullet points:
- Our dear friends the Lytles (parents to Georgia's BFF, Josh), learned last week that they are expecting twins. Though occasionally overwhelmed, they are rejoicing in God's goodness and grace in blessing them in this manner. Georgia cannot wait to have more little Lytles to terrorize.
- The Martins are another couple whose friendship we treasure, and they were blessed last week with a grant from Shaohannah's Hope, the adoption funding agency that Steven Curtis Chapman founded. Nathan and I were able to attend the SCC concert at the State Fair with our friends, listen to SCC share his passion for adoption, and then--SO MUCH FUN--meet him backstage and just observe as he shared his heart on adoption with the Martins. Oh, and did I mention the grant? The love offering collected at the concert plus a matching gift went to the Martins, and it is almost exactly what they need. Read Miranda's blog about this amazing blessing here.
- Southeastern Seminary hosted two amazing events this week, the Proclaim Preaching Seminarand the C.S. Lewis Conference. Both conferences were successful and exciting. Check online to listen to some of the sessions from either event.
- I cut my hair. It has been a long time coming, and I love it. I will post a picture soon, but just know that I rejoice over it!
- Last but certainly not least:

I liked everything but the last one. But, the gators didn't deserve to win. Can we still be friends?
Okay, so we already have so much in common: We both have girls that bit chins, we both wear "The Wonder Years" glasses, and we're both GA Bulldog fans! Yippie! So now, my question for you is(and it's a pretty random one at that)...do you like your laundry sorter? Ha! I have been eyeballing the ones in Target and Walmart and they are EXPENSIVE. I couldn't decide if I wanted to go with the metal frame one that's expensive or the plastic frame one. I wondered if it was big enough or if it just "looked" big in the pictures. I saw it in your picture and want your take on it. Ha! Like I said, that question was "TOTAL RANDOMNESS". Ha!
Thanks for visiting my blog! Now I have a new blog friend.

Hollie-
I am glad to 'meet' you! It is fun to have so much in common:-) As for your randomness, I love my laundry sorter. I'll try to measure it and give you an idea of the size. We have the cheaper plastic one, and the pieces that Georgia climbs over occasionally have to be snapped back together, but it works really well for us. I just grab a bag and take it to my laundry closet.
Maybe one day we can be friends in person:-)
Leah
Kim-
Thankfully by God's grace, the fact that you cheer for the gators does not affect your eternal salvation. Therefore, we can still be friends, and can rejoice in knowing that in heaven, God will let us know who the real team is (DAWGS!). Miss you around here!
