Praises for the little things

You know how little things can quickly add up, either in time or money or effort? When you are nearing the end of your pregnancy, the little "things" seem to add up quickly, and multiply, and grow...however, those who trust in the grace of God and His gospel know that He has even the little things under control.

My example from today: Georgia tried to break my glasses this weekend. She loves getting into my purse (though she isn't supposed to), and this weekend she pulled out my glasses case, opened it, took my glasses, and bent the ear piece back. Now, I don't wear my glasses all the time, but I should wear them more than I do. It is time for me to have another eye exam, but I wanted to wait until after the baby comes before undertaking that. However, it really looked like the glasses might need to be replaced. Nathan and I did not attempt to repair them, but I took them today to my eye doctor's office for them to work on. The first thing the gentleman said when he looked at the glasses was, "This piece could just snap off when I try to repair it. You need to know that." Sigh. I knew that, and told him I could handle that. But even in the little things like eyeglasses, the Lord is in control--and they are fixed! Praise the Lord! They are even tightened up some, so they won't slide down my nose. And I can now wait a few months before going back to the eye doctor (unless Georgia proves destructive again).

I am grateful for the small praises, and "little" answers to prayer today. They have blessed me in a BIG way!

So glad that your pregnancy is going well. I don't think we've given you any of our new contact info and it's very important since we're in a more convenient place for your trips home! We can totally meet you in Pooler. Anyway, we didn't save any of our e-mail addresses before we moved and we've got a new one ourselves. Could you e-mail us? It's clintandlauren@live.com
Thanks!
