Since everyone is doing it...

Couponing, that is :-)

Clipping coupons and bargain shopping can be a full-time job for some people. I have several friends who are REALLY good at it, and dear Mrs. Sprinkles at Counting Sprinkles has inspired me to get started with clipping coupons, finding bargains, and saving my family more money. Today was my first attempt, and though it was feeble, I was pleased, considering I have only bought one newspaper so far!

I shopped at Kroger today and saved 19.33% off my original (retail price) bill with coupons and Kroger Plus card savings. I hit CVS as well and saved 21.39% off my bill just with coupons and a CVS card. If you count the $10.99 in Extra Care Bucks ("money" to be spent at CVS; learn how it works here), I actually saved 62.33%. Not too bad for a newbie! My goal is to get better at it every week--better being more savings, more coupons, less out of pocket. I won't bore you with lots of links, but will point you to Mrs. Sprinkles' recent list of couponing sites. Enjoy the savings!
