There is no need to worry about Baxter's eating habits! Check out his statistics:
Weight: 9 lbs., 9 oz. (75 percentile)
Height: 21 3/4 inches (90 percentile)
Head Circumference: 36.4 cm (30 percentile)
Those numbers just tell us what we already know from observing him--he is a very healthy, growing little boy! I cannot believe he is already over 9 pounds. Though Georgia started out a pound lighter than Baxter, she had similar growth patterns. It appears that the Lord has blessed us with very healthy, actively growing babies. Praise the Lord!
Baxter continues to melt our hearts every day. He eats well, and sleeps as well as a newborn can :-) For a couple of mornings he has wanted to start his day at 5 a.m., which is very tough on his parents, but we know that in a few days there will be a new quirky habit that will replace it. Georgia and Baxter both nap in the afternoon, so that is my time to nap as well, and I am so grateful for it. The lactation consultant recommended having them nap at the same time as soon as possible, and that has been a biggest blessing to me! Nathan went back to work this week, so Georgia, Baxter and I are working on finding our groove at home by ourselves. I am learning that I cannot do it all, and that it is most important for me to care for my kids (as opposed to the laundry, the house, the refrigerator, etc). Our wonderful church family is providing meals for us, and that is a HUGE HELP right now. Most of all, though, we are just excited about Baxter's addition to our family--words cannot express how much Nathan, Georgia and I love him, and how he is changing our family in wonderful ways. Thanks for reading-I'll post pictures soon!

Hey Leah- sounds like you are doing great! So happy for you guys. I just realized today that I no longer take an afternoon nap with my kids- but I did for about 4 years, especially when we had three kids, 3 and under. Those naps always got me ready for what I called "Round Two"- the afternoon/dinner time/bed time part of the day.
God bless you and your sweet family!
