I just spent a moment rereading old posts that I wrote about Georgia's sleep habits, and I am reminded that baby's sleep habits are highly irregular:-) Here is what Baxter has done over the past few nights:
Day 1--slept 10-6 (Yippee~that was an exciting night!!)
Day 2--slept 10-3:30
Day 3--slept 10-3
Day 4--slept 10-2:30 (woke up again at 5:30)
Day 5--slept 10-2 (woke up again at 5:30)--this was last night, and I am now wondering how little he will sleep tonight! If he only sleeps until 1:30 I will be miserable:-(
With Georgia, I thought she would increase the length of her nighttime sleeping over time until she slept through the night, and that didn't happen! I could wish for the same with Baxter, but I realize there is a lot of ups and downs with sleeping patterns. One area of grace in my life, though, is that I am not as anxious about Baxter's sleep habits as I was about Georgia's. I would LOVE for him to sleep longer at night, especially since I would rather not nurse twice at night, but I know that it will eventually work out. God is in control!

Hi Leah. Oh how I remember those nights!!! It's only been a couple of years since I was getting up at night with Aaron, but now seems like such a long time ago. The two times per night feedings are exhausting, but they should soon be over with this little guy. Since he's shown he can sleep 8 hours, you could even "encourage" it a little, but I know that's easier said than done. My prayers are with you and soon this, too, will seem a distant memory.
