Does anyone have kids like mine?

Do you have an infant who spits up every single time you strap him into his carseat? Usually over a cute outfit?

Do you have a toddler who likes to "sit [on the] toilet like a big girl" and yet does not pee? She has been in big girl underwear for two days and has sat on the toilet for most of the day when you add up the time, but has yet to actually GO on the toilet! She has gone on the floor a half dozen times in the past two days, though.

Sigh.

Never had the spit-up problem (thank God (genuinely)), but yes, L would sit and do nothing. We just let him, and lavished much praise on the rare occasions that he did actually go. It was another year (at least) though before he was really ready to potty train. Not trying to discourage you. If what you are doing is working for you (or you still have the patience for it), then keep doing it. But for us, he just wasn't ready, and we were more than frustrated, so we stuck with the pull-ups. Best of luck to you both!

We have a spitter. He started spitting up when he was about 2 1/2 months and still does occasionally. It has gotten much, much better than the gallons that it used to be (seemed like). He will be one this Wednesday..... We just learned to grin. Not much else you can do. :)

We had a spitter--Anne. We finally started burping her over our shoulders with our backs to the sink, so it would go in the sink. Even so, every time she laid down, she would spit up. We used to give her "head baths"--we'd wash just her hair and face in the sink. I don't miss those days at all!

Yes-- every time Vaden gets in the seat he spits up. We keep a bib on him until the car ride is over. Gets on the bib and not the cute outfit. (And make sure the bib i over the shoulder straps.)
