Less than twelve hours after he was born, the big Finnlings came up to the hospital to meet the newest one! They insisted on wearing their "big sister/brother" t-shirts, which caused quite a few 'oohs' and 'aahs' and 'look how cute!' comments as they walked through the hospital complex. To say that they are excited about Fuller's arrival is an understatement. Eleanor practically barreled through the door to my room, exclaiming "Where's my baby Fuller?" Upon seeing him, she promptly said "Oh, he's SO cute!" (and this has been her steady refrain ever since). Baxter is happy but a little more reserved--poor boy has been quite content in his 'only son' status for awhile. And Georgia is making grand, elaborate plans for all the ways she is going to help with Fuller, including picking him up and bringing him to Mommy, changing his diaper and feeding him. It is more than a little surreal that we are the parents of four children (!) but we rejoice at each of these little lives that God has entrusted to us.
Check out the smiles on the Finnlings:
PS--Blogger tells me this is my 1000th post. What a great milestone to hit, and what a great way to celebrate, with documenting Fuller's arrival and our family's joy!
