Trip to Georgia, pt. 1 (visiting Nathan's family)

We left on Saturday the 15th after Nathan returned from his trip to Canada the evening of Friday the 14th. It was a pretty quick turn around, but Nathan handled it really well! Our trip was delightfully uneventful, we only hit traffic at one point, and we LOVED using our new vehicle for the trip. Fun fact: at one point when we were backed up in traffic outside of Brunswick, our temperature gauge said it was 115 degrees. We assume that was because of the traffic and asphalt, etc...but it was still at least 100 degrees when we arrived in Georgia. Welcome home! Saturday night we met Nathan's parents and grandmother (Nanny) at Spanky's in Brunswick for dinner (Spanky's is one of Nathan's favorites). On Sunday, Nathan preached both the morning and evening services at his home church, Central Baptist of Waycross, Georgia. It was a great opportunity, and I believe that God truly used his preaching to minister to the people in the congregation.

Monday and Tuesday were fun days-our friends Clint and Lauren came to visit us, and brought their adorable little girl Mae, whom we had not yet met. It was a great time of fellowship and catching up. Tuesday Nathan spent time with his dad and I had the opportunity to spend time with his mom doing some baby related shopping (too fun!). We had a nice family dinner Tuesday evening with his parents, brother and sister in law before leaving on Wednesday to travel to Conyers to see my family.

Nathan's parents really wanted a picture of Nathan and me so they could have proof of how "pregnant I was." The only problem we ran into was that every single picture they took had one or both of us with our eyes closed or almost closed (Nathan was the biggest culprit). Finally--after MULTIPLE takes, we were able to get one picture right (taken Sunday, July 16th--Leah is at 27+weeks of pregnancy):
