Before anyone jumps to any conclusions, I am not talking about the impending end of my pregnancy! Though that is also looming near, I have no idea as to when it will exactly end. I DO, however, have an ending date for my "working out of the home full-time" career--this Friday! That is correct, this Friday, October 6, is my last day of full-time (outside the home) work. Since confession is good for the soul, I will confess: I am very excited about this change. In theory, I have at least a week at home to rest/nest before my due date. Georgia could, of course, come any time, but IN THEORY I have built in a week of rest. As many of you know, I have felt for all my life that my calling was to be a wife and a mom. Though I love and appreciate my job at Southeastern Seminary, there have been many days where I simply wanted to stay home and be a housewife. Nathan and I praise the Lord for the opportunity for me to stay home with Georgia and fulfill what we believe is a woman's highest calling! Will I miss my work? Probably a little (though I am not feeling it right now). Will I miss my boss, coworkers, friends? Definitely! But Nathan and I are entering a new phase of our life, a phase that requires changes and adjustments, belt-tightening and sleepless nights, days of grace and days of sacrifice, and most importantly, days of blessing. We greatly covet your prayers as we move into this new stage of our life. Please especially pray for me as I end out my career at SEBTS--that I would finish well, Soli Deo Gloria!
P.S. I did not blog about last week's doctor's appointment because, frankly, there was nothing to tell. Tomorrow brings another day and another appointment--will there be news? You will have to check back to find out!
P.S. pt. 2 Forgive the lack of pictures--I have a couple of things I would like to post, but have not been able to upload the pictures. Also, as our nursery is coming together, I want to wait to post pictures...quite frankly, because I want to show it off to the grandparents and relatives when they visit, NOT have it all be given away via the blog (extra incentive, relatives, to visit the baby!). Love to all!
