Our future fullback

Our "little" guy is already 2 months old, and he is HUGE! Here are his stats, fresh from the doctor's office:

Weight: 14 lbs., 14 oz. (97%)
Height: 23 1/4 inches (60%)
Head Circumference: 41 cm (75%)

His weight gain has been amazing! And yes, he is still a strictly breast fed baby. I am so thankful for his healthiness and steady weight gain, though it has been hard to keep him in clothes! Baxter cannot fit into 0-3 or 3 month clothing anymore--we have already moved onto 3-6 month/6 month clothing. And he is just 2 months old!

Since he started really smiling last week, his personality has really come out. He loves to smile and coo and talk to us. Baxter loves his Baby Einstein play mat--it almost always calms him down if he is fussy, and he can play for a long time (for a baby:-). The mat plays music and has a setting where, if he kicks or bats at the 'bars', the music plays. Baxter has already started batting and kicking at it, and it tickles him when he sets it off. The doctor said that his batting and reaching for things is ahead of schedule--so his motor skills are doing great!

Baxter is a joy to be around, and a blessing in our lives. We thank God for this healthy, hefty little boy, and we look forward to how he grows in the future. Check out some pictures of him 'chilling out' in his swing:

My little guy was 11 pounds 4 ounces at birth... so I know what it's like to move right into the next size clothes before you (as the Mom) are ready to move on!

Cute pictures of your kiddos!
