Happy Father's Day!!

Happy Father's Day to my husband!

Since before we had children, and even before we conceived our first child, Nathan has prayed for our children, for their health and development, and most importantly, their salvation. He has made it a priority to teach them God's Word, to read them God's Word, to sing songs from (and about) God's Word, and to discipline them in a way to point them to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Nathan loves his children deeply, and enjoys spending time with them. G and B love the moment that Nathan walks in the door, home from work, and he loves it when they run into his arms crying "Daddy!" Whether reading stories, wrestling on the floor, playing outside, going on 'daddy/child' dates, or watching a movie together, Nathan loves being with his kids, and his kids love being with him. It is such a blessing and joy to be married to this man who is a wonderful father!

As wonderful a father as Nathan is, we know that he cannot do it without the grace and blessing of God in his life. We also realize that, as great as Nathan is, God our Father is the only perfect father, who loves his children with a perfect, redeeming love. God loves us so much that he gave his only son to die for us, to remove the penalty of sin, to reconcile us to him forever. For those that believe, God has adopted them into his family, and we are privileged to call him Father! And for that, today, on Father's Day, we rejoice!
