The Finns have had a fun Memorial Day weekend. It has felt like the true start to the summer that it is, spending time with family and friends and enjoying the beautiful weather!
On Saturday we celebrated a sweet friend's birthday with berry cupcakes (yummy!). Georgia was especially excited to be able to carry the cupcake with the candle to the table :-)
Memorial Day weekend is when we hang our flag from our porch, put a new "Welcome" sign in red/white/blue on our door, and stick little flags around our mailbox. I love how cheery the flags and flowers look!
On Memorial Day itself we had a cookout with friends and the little blonde boy probably ate his weight in watermelon (I tried to get a picture of how soaked his shirt was, but it didn't quite work). As always, we had lots of fun with our friends, and the kids entertained everyone!
Hope all (two) of the readers of this blog had a great weekend as well, celebrating time with their family and honoring those who have served in our military forces.
