Yesterday was a glorious rainy morning, the perfect spring rain that it is wonderful for playing! G and B started asking at breakfast if they could play in the rain, and since there was no thunder or lightning, I let them. They entertained themselves for 20-30 minutes splashing in puddles and playing in the 'river' that runs in front of our yard by the road (yes, they are near the road, but I was watching closely and there were no cars). They would have played even longer if we did not have other things to do. I love the simple joys of childhood, like playing in the rain!
