Nathan and I decided last night that if the baby had not arrived, we would take a trip to the NC Museum of Natural Sciences in downtown Raleigh. Nathan has never been to this museum, and it has been a long time since I took the kids. We had a great time exploring the museum, attending a fun storytime that involved petting snakes, and looking at the many marvels of God's creation. This may be our last family outing as the Finn family of four, and it was a wonderful day together!

Quick question--I have started using Picasa 3 for my photo organization and storage. Picasa allows me to upload photos easily to web albums, and to include captions on the photos. I have used it several times for lots of pictures (Christmas, snow, etc), when in the past I might have used a One True Media slideshow OR just loaded the blog with tons of pictures. What do you, my readers, like? Is it a hassle to click on the photo to see more pictures in a Picasa web album? Do you like all of the pictures just in the blog post? I'd love your input.

To a certain extent, I think the answer may vary depending on the post. If you're telling a story about an event or trip, inserting photos as you go is probably best. For things like show pictures, posting a couple and then a link to the slide show is fine. To be completely honest, I don't always click through to the slide show (maybe 50% of the time); depends on the topic and how much time I have. I am, however, looking forward to the new baby slide show! :-)
